You could also be working on your unit project.
Sept. 29 - I'm still out. I'll be back next week. Keep doing the assignments or life will become very very busy for you when I return. Today you should be taking a quiz on the Outliers chapter 2. Then you'll be reading "Dyaspora" by Joanne Hyppolite and answering reading guide questions. The quiz is a grade and the reading notes will be graded. They are not group work nor are they partner work so student work which shows evidence of being "shared" or "copied" will receive a failing grade.
Sept. 25 - I'm still out. You still work. Read the rest of the Outliers chapter and answer the questions. Be ready for an assessment on the reading and questions on Monday. Trying to do is better than not doing anything.
Make sure you are giving the sub. your poem responses. Mr. Renn is dropping off work for me to grade : )
Sept. 23 (A-Day) - I am out. You had better have been good for my substitute or things will not go well for you upon my return. Remember the theme of "If"?
You should have completed the song analysis handout and submitted it. This will be the draft of that component for the unit project.
You should have read sections 1-3 of the Outliers excerpt and completed the questions for that part. See the lesson resources for copies of the song analysis handout and the Outliers materials.
